The nation's largest retail pharmacy chain engaged Comm-Works to install an energy management solution that would combat the rising issue of energy usage and cost. The EMS solution included: lighting controls, power monitoring, HVAC control, CO2 and humidity sensors and temperature probes.
Comm-Works provides the pharmacy chain with an efficient and accurate deployment no matter the challenges of specific sites. The company realized a 12.5 percent increase in total energy savings within the first month at the pilot site. The overall EMS solution puts the retailer on pace to achieve its goal of reducing peak demand and thereby saving the company $100M each year in energy costs.
Since deploying this customer's first energy management system in 2010, Comm-Works has completed installations at 1,250 store locations and continues to install solutions for the 8,000 locations throughout all 50 states.
